In AV-TEST’s May–June 2026 Windows consumer test, Microsoft Defender Antivirus (Consumer) scored 6/6 for protection, 5.5/6 for performance, and 6/6 for usability. Those results are a dated test snapshot, not a promise that every future version or device will behave identically.

That distinction matters when reading test results: AV-TEST’s June 2026 Bitdefender entry is Total Security. We do not use that paid-suite result as a score for Antivirus Free. Choose the free edition only if its current Windows coverage matches your needs, and review the vendor’s offer directly.

Panda’s current U.S. page lists a Panda Dome Free plan for one Windows device. The same page also promotes paid plans with a free first month, which is a separate offer. Confirm the plan name, device count, and included features before installing.
